As more students use mobile devices to view course content it is important create mobile friendly PowerPoint presentations*. Also, PowerPoints are more interesting if a presenter is injected into the presentation through narration. PowerPoint gives you the ability to create a video (.mp4) from a presentation that can be uploaded to a server such as YouTube or Ensemble.
*If you are not going to narrate a PowerPoint it is best to provide a PDF file format. This allows students to view the slides on just about any device.
