What is a Learning Journal?

A learning journal is an exercise in meta-cognition. Meta What?

To put it another way, a learning journal is my way of getting you to think about your own learning. Research continually demonstrates that a significant trait in successful students is their ability to monitor their own learning. This is referred to as an active learning teaching strategy. This journal assignment is a focused, organized approach to that process.
