Transitioning to Online Starting March 30, 2020
NCCC will be moving face-to-face courses to remote instruction until further notice in response to the Governor’s announcement that all SUNY schools would go to an online/distance modality. As provided in the President’s email to the college system message on 3/13/2020, this checklist was created to help faculty think through the process of how to continue instruction while face-to-face classes have been suspended. We have also created this one document with resources for Blackboard, Tech Tool Options, Locating Course Content and Resources, and Getting Help.
- Faculty Training & Professional Development Series – Teaching Quality Online & Hybrid Courses at NCCC
- Blackboard Training Series: Remote Instruction from Basics to Advanced (Run by Blackboard)
SUNY has created a website dedicated to Support Remote Learning during Covid-19 for Campuses, Students and Faculty/Staff. They provide technology tools, webinars/training and much more.
