How to Display Final Grades and Release them to Students
By default, students do not see the “Calculated Final Grade” or “Adjusted Final Grade.” You can choose to turn on one of these grades in student view, the Calculated Final Grade or the Adjusted Final Grade. The Adjusted Final Grade is blank until you enter a new grade. By turning on this setting, students can view their final grades at the top of the screen when they go into Grades from the Nav Bar.
How do I show final grades to students?
Check to see if students see the correct grade: In Grades → Enter Grades → Click the Chevron next to a student’s name→ Select Preview. The final grade will appear at the top of the screen. If you don’t see the correct grade, go back through the steps above and make corrections.

Determining the Last Date of Attendance
Here is a video on how to determine the last date a student submitted an assignment to your course. This is needed for attendance in an Online or HyFlex class. You need to combine this information along with in-person attendance for Blended and Hybrid courses.
Module classes that are closed:
If you had a course that ended early in the semester, you will not have access to the reports under Class Progress.
To check the last date of Assignments and Quizzes:
Go to Grades→Enter Grades (tab) → Click the chevron next to the student’s name and select View Event Log. This log shows entries made by the professor and submissions for Assignments & Quizzes made by students.
To view discussion submissions:
Determine the last discussion a student participated in the course, in Grade→ go to the discussion column, and hit the image in front of the grade. This will open the posts made by this student so you can see the last date a post was made.
These steps will give you the last date of attendance.
