Accessibility Resources

Recently, I participated in a SLOAN-C Online Workshop on “Enhancing Your Course Accessiblility the Easy Way.” The online workshop was fantastic and I was able to get some great resources to share with you or your students.

How to make a PowerPoint Accessible

How to make a PDF Accessible

How to use YouTube’s AutoCaption Feature to Generate Captions

Free Tools

  • RoboBraille (text to speech)- is an email service that can convert digital text documents into either Braille or audio files.
  • Natural Reader -text to speech – can also convert text into mp3 files to listen to them on any device
  • PowerTalk– Automatic Speech for PowerPoint Presentations – Windows

You can view all of the resources I have tagged under “accessibility” in my Delicious Social Bookmarking account at:  http://delicious.com/lpirinelli/accessibility. And, I updated our NCCC Easy Guide to Accessibility Lesson with these resources.

If you have any questions, please contact me.

Have a great day!
